Terms of Service

CorroScan (“CorroScan”, “we”, “us”) provides a corrosion-documentation platform: an iOS application that captures and measures corrosion using on-device AI and AR ranging, and a web console at app.corroscan.ai for reviewing, organizing and reporting on those captures (together, the “Service”). These terms are a binding agreement between you and CorroScan. By creating an account or using the Service you accept them.

If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to bind that company, and “you” means the company.

Data in the Service belongs to an organization. The person who creates an organization becomes its administrator and controls membership, roles (Admin, Inspector, Viewer), sites, and billing. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping credentials confidential, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@corroscan.ai if you suspect unauthorized use.

Creating an organization is free. Paid subscriptions are charged per Inspector seat; Admin and Viewer seats are free. Individual Pro subscriptions for the mobile app are purchased through Apple and governed additionally by Apple’s terms. Fees are billed in advance, are exclusive of taxes, and — except where required by law — are non-refundable for partial periods. Adding an Inspector seat mid-cycle is prorated; removing one takes effect at the next cycle. If payment fails we may, after notice, suspend cloud sync and paid features until the balance is settled; your data remains intact and exportable during suspension.

We may change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice, effective from your next billing cycle.

You agree not to:

• use the Service unlawfully, or capture imagery of places or property you have no right to photograph;
• probe, disrupt, reverse-engineer or overload the Service, or bypass its access controls;
• resell or white-label the Service without a written agreement with us;
• upload malicious code or content that infringes third-party rights.

We may suspend accounts that materially breach these rules, with notice where practicable.

Your organization owns its data — scan photos, measurements, locations, sites, notes and reports. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display that data solely to operate and improve the Service. We do not sell your data and we do not use your scan imagery to train models without your explicit opt-in. You can export your data (CSV, PDF) at any time, and deleting your account or organization deletes the underlying data within 30 days, save for minimal records we must keep by law.

CorroScan’s detection and area measurements are produced by machine-learning models and AR-based ranging. They are decision-support estimates, not a certified inspection. Accuracy varies with lighting, distance, surface condition and device capability, and every measurement carries the stated tolerance. You must not rely on the Service as the sole basis for structural, safety or regulatory-compliance decisions; qualified personnel must verify findings before action is taken. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for decisions made in reliance on AI output.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it fast and dependable but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may add, change or retire features; if a change materially reduces the Service you pay for, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of any prepaid, unused fees.

To the maximum extent permitted by law: neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or loss of profits, revenue or data; and our total aggregate liability arising from the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You may cancel your subscription at any time (effective at the end of the paid period) or delete your account and organization at any time. We may terminate for material breach that remains uncured 14 days after notice, or immediately for serious abuse. Sections 05, 06, 08 and 10 survive termination.

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-product at least 14 days before they take effect, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
